LED Grow Lights For Sally
I stumbled across a product that used arrays of different colored LEDS for artificial lighting of plants etc, with minimum or no heat transfer like florescent or incandescent tubes, LEDs can be found pretty much in the complete light spectrum (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet) although plants don't always use all of the colors the most important ones are:
Blue light is photosynthesis, growth and leaf growth
When combined with Blue; Red light is for flowering
I am very intrigued by this and i will surley soon invest in a LED grow light containing red and blue light. for xxxx its a lot cheaper, less power consuming than florescent/incandescent lighting options
I have also thought about creating my own and once this is a viable option i will do more posts on the subject
Is/Has anyone used LED grow lights for salvia D?
