Angry waking up, urinating, going back to sleep and not remembering a thing

Hey all - rather interesting question..

Is there any way to combat drunken pissing? Recently my roommate has been waking up in the middle of the night (after heavy drinking) and urinating on our carpet, furniture, cabinets, and other appliances. It's quite irritating because I've seen him do it once before, and stopped him halfways through by yelling at him to go piss in the toilet. He managed to slur out the words - "this is the toilet..." before crawling back into bed and going back to sleep. I asked him the next day, and he had no memory of it.

I'm generally asleep when he's doing this sort of mischief, so I can't stop him or alert him to the fact he is pissing on our couch, chairs, etc.

It seems to be more or less random, because he rarely pisses in the same place twice.

It's getting very annoying waking up and walking out of my room and smelling urine and thinking "he did it again..."

Is there any way to stop him from doing this? Apart from the obvious - moderation of booze, urinating before bed, handcuffing him to his bed so he has to wake up and unlock the handcuff (become fully awake) before he goes to the bathroom.

Any thoughts on this are appreciated - I'm sick of my house smelling like piss. thanks much..
