Combinations - Ambien (Zolpidem) + LSD

Swim is going to take some delicious LSD this weekend. Swim has aways heard that a benzodurng a trip can really smooth things out. Swim doesnt have the money for benzos,but his doctor perscribes him Ambien CR (Zolpidem 12.5mg). As all swiys should know, Zolpidem is closely related to benzos, and swim usuall gets the same kinds of feelings on Ambiens as he does Vals and what no. Swim has 2 Ambiens left, and was wondering, would this work out well, and when should he take them to smooth things out?

swim would say dose @ 1/2 a normal dose of ambien after swiy has started tripping, if swiy feels like they need to take one, if that dosage is not sufficient, wait a half hour or so and repeat.

ambien seems like it could make the LSD experience a little foggy and disoriented, is there a reason why swiy thinks that benzos are needed to smooth out his trip?

SWIM has heard that with ambien, you trip for 5 minutes, then just black out the rest of the time. If this is true, it would be a waste of the acid, so SWIM suggests just taking the acid and not the ambien. Most of SWIM's friends that have tried ambien just black out and hate it.

Well SWIM has high tolerance to zolpidem, and has only blacked out after doses above 80 milligrams. And yes, SWIM did take his 12.5 mg pill about 30 minutes after his trip started. SWIM believes his visuals may have been slightly stronger, and there was definitely no anxiety. SWIM now advocates taking Ambien during LSD trips, and is really quite confused as to how anyone could black out after 1 pill !
