I (heart) Kratom... never liked opiates even half as much, & I've done more than my share.

The right stuff (sorry, can't say where I get it) just puts me in the best mood of my life every time I take it. Definitely my new substance of choice... would gladly give up all other substances for it, seriously. Even nicotine.

So, anyone else happen to be in love with Lady K.? Would you still buy it even if it was illegalized? I know sands of time is nuts about the stuff. Express your feelings here, gush loudly, sob, weep with joy, whatever you feel like. Edited by: Nicaine

I wouldnt say Im in love with it, but it definately does have an uplifting effect that isis useful if taken before work. It really seems to take the edge off when tired and helps to get a little extra work done when experiencing low energy. Its almost imperceptible, Imo a teaspoon at a time is more than enough. Even at higher doses it is nothing profound, it is slightly stronger than coffee, why all the fuss over this?

I like it as you said, but I'm not in love with it hehe. It has some subtle but very pleasent effects, Overdoing the stuff basicly is useless as a tolerance can be quickly built. I use this stuff because it's legal and there is basicly no come down. It's my weekend substance of choice.

The other night I basically went on a K. nod (high dosage), and actually had quite a profound experience... my long-term memory was extremely enhanced, and I was walking the corridors of my past with clarity. I remembered small details of places and situations I'd forgotten long ago. I felt a certain oneness with everything, and a deep inner peace & contentment. The whole thing happened lying in a darkened room, with new age/soundscapes music as accompaniment.

This was with the same stuff you recently picked up, sands. Just ordered more of the stuff today.

P.S. I noticed the tolerance, but it seems to build up slower than with opiates.Edited by: Nicaine

I like kratom lots. It can surely be more than subtle, imperceptible, and not profound Ofcourse like u said a tolerance will certainly reduce the profoundity.

Its helped me so much, i have stopped taking oxy for my back problems, and am i am tampering down my valium intake because it also seems to have an anti-anzity qualities to it.

I'd keep it down to once a day at most, preferably once every-other-day at most.

If you use it occasionally throughout the day (several times or more, with boosting to stay buzzed) that kind of usage is what seems to build tolerance, at least for me. And it builds fast when used this way.

The good news is apparently it can go away pretty fast also, if you drop back to occasional usage. It's a lot cleaner of a buzz than opiates, so it wouldn't surprise me if this was true.Edited by: Nicaine

After building a very large tolerance, I stopped using kratom for 2 weeks. This definately reduced the tolerance to nearly baseline. I tried doing the same for only one week as well. My tolerance dropped probably 70%.

P.S. did your tolerance go up more quickly after that, or did it increase at about the same speed as originally? Some drugs seem to build up tolerance much faster after it's happened once before (opiates, for one).Edited by: Nicaine

I definately built a tolerance quicker after that. I think thats kind of a universal thing with most drugs though. I basicly limit my kratom use by only using it on the weekends.

Sounds like a good idea... I'm not gonna be able to afford using it very often, at the dose it now takes me to even feel a mild buzz (about 3 times what it originally took to get very high).

I also seem to have gotten a "brick wall" effect with K., where no matter how much I take I can't get more than a moderate buzz. Time to really take a break from it for awhile.Edited by: Nicaine

With all this great sounding chat about Kratom, I think it's might just be the next D.O.C. for me.


I know that I should not ask the question as to where to get the stuff, but I would like to know if it is just completely an online product, or can I get it in stores in my country, Can. ?


Sorry to the moderators about such a blunt question, that pretty much falls into the sources category. But I've used the search engine on Drugs Forum plus also searched for two entire days on the web. I have gotten alot of online sites that say they stock the stuff ,but I just don't know who to trust.


Again sorry to the moderators of Drugs- Forum but I'm not looking for an exact link or site, but just a heads up on how not to get ripped off for an online purchase.


A bit of insight as to what to stay away from when ordering online would be a big help, again sorry if I've offended anyone, also if i've broke the rules of this forum.

Look for listed alkaloid content, or send an Email and ask... commercial grade is 65mg alkaloids per 25g of kratom. Pretty weak, but if they list it at least you know it's probably been tested. There's a 'middle grade' with 160-180mg/25g which is pretty good, and the 'super strength' stuff contain around 300mg/25g.

Prices go up as the strength goes up, sometimes not in proportion, so do the math before buying & ask if there's a return policy in case you aren't satisfied. The extracts/resin is usually unknown in terms of quality, so you're rolling the dice. Generally it will be stronger than the powders, but if you don't know the alkaloid content of what it was derived from there's no way of knowing what an extract will contain.Edited by: Nicaine

The internet is the best source for kratom. I have never seen any place in which you could walk in and purchase it in North America. Niacaine's post pretty much covers it all. I would recommend starting with kratom powder instead of extracts as many people seem to dislike and distrust it. I don't really like the extract myself, but if I find a cheap, recommended source, I give it a go.
