How dry do you get your cannabis? Weight?

SWIM gets their weed by internet through the mail. The weed usually comes with a "bonus", depending on how much is purchased. 7g was purchased once, got 7.5g. 14g was purchased once, got 15g. One thing SWIM noticed though, is that the 14g purchase seemed not completely cured. Dry yes, but it "shrunk" somewhat over a few days. In a fairly dry state, but not totally dry, how much would SWIM really get ripped off? SWIM doesn't currently have a scale, but is wondering how much dryness, when essentially dry but not "crisp", affects weight. Thanks.

Well dry will obviously weigh less than not so dry. It all depends on how dry and how much weed, obviously...

Wet weed usually means that the person you got your weed from sprayed it.
There is a difference between "wet weed" and "sticky weed"

Swim doesn't think sticky weed gives up as much weight after drying out than wet weed. Edited by: searcher

SWIM lives in Canada, where this type of thing is tolerated far more than in the neighbouring country to the south.

Meemeemee, you have thrown out a couple of incomplete scenarios. You Notice that the Weed has shrunk, but how much? 5% ... 10% ... 50%. Even Med Pot I buy shrinks a little if I leave the Baggie open a day or two. This is Normal. I have tasted Pot with almost no Moisture in it (avoid it if you can). Moisture helps it burn more evenly, and taste more mellow.


Then, if you are really concerned about water-loss, please weigh the Baggie again, after it has shrunk (or, if you want to smoke it, just measure-out half of it, weigh it, and watch it shrink ... then re-weigh it).


You say that SWIM does not have a scale, but you also claim that the Weed he bought is a certain weight (7.5 Grams, 15 Grams). Apparently, someone has a scale. Have him re-borrow THAT scale, and check it out.


If you are losing more than 2 grams out of 15, then you will know that it's pretty damp. If it's less than that, you are getting a good half-ounce. Please weigh your next Score, and let us know the facts; inquiring minds want to know.


Either way, if the Weed is good, and someone is kind enough to mail it to you (saving you a trip to the dealer), you are a lucky guy. A lot of people end-up paying pot-prices for the Baggie (up to 1.5 Grams); you are NOT one of them.Edited by: Solidly-here
