Injecting - Sharpening needles

Well Swim has this old dull needle, Hes wonder if he could sharpen it with imperial paper, Its very fine almost like sand paper but finer.
he cant get eny other equitment *Cry*

But atleast he boils and keeps his equitment very sterile.

Oh and another thing, he has an old needle used on a horse.
if he boil it will it kill of all deises and bacteria.

Although highly not recommended, a syringe can be sharpened. Here is a link on doing so.

One should never use a syringe that has been previously used by someone else (or someones horse). If one has no choice in the matter, proper cleaning and sterilization is a must.

Swim thinks swiy is gnna end up dead with the first hit!! this is very unhygenic, if swiy is gnna do it? do it properly.........peace.

Do it Rectal, all the other things are stupid and lead sooner or later to a infection!
(Maybe swiny even like it (Rectal use)!)

A Needle normally is so fine, if swiny start to manipulated it
he will do many tiny hooks inside of the scharpening/ schliff, profil.
With that Hooks swiny will penetrated and tear the Vein,
the Vein need a longer Time for healing and become out of use for a long Time!
In the Scars Bacterias start to squat your Body
and will make a Party (Sepsis 2009) long time not seen!

Just make a Test, push the Needle inside a cotton ball and have a look how many tiny fibres you can see!

in us you need a RX for eny needle.

They take drugs way to serouse here.
They have helocopter that circle are city with thermal cameras to see where the Pot dealers grow there Sh*t.

You think they would give needles to me?

Swim has bought needles in Florida right from a pharmacy! Yeah, some pharmacies will say that to you cuz they feel they may be somehow liable if you were to die but that is a pharmacy rule not a law. If for some reason every pharmacy in swiy's town has that rule than you can always order them from the internet. There are many many different sites that will ship a box of needles to anywhere in the US overnight for the same price they would be at a local pharmacy.

Thats not true, in fact, in most states now in the US no prescription is needed to purchase syringes, florida is one of the few states that its still illegal. You do however, have to be 18 to buy them. At least in NY.

Buying needles in the USA is very easy. Pharmacists never look at my raver friend at all strangely if he asks for them. You DO have to ask though, they won't be on the shelves anywhere.

Blunt needles are awful. Don't ever think that using one is a valid option.

Pacman gotta agree sharpening isn't the way to go it will ruin SWIY veins straight away and once they are gone they are gone then SWIY will need to move to femoral or more dangerous places. Really don't do it. SWIY would be better off using the dull needle once

A NEW** match packet striker can be used but becareful with old needles swiy dont want it to break off in side of swiy ;(

If swiy is dead set on trying to sharpen needles then in swims opinion this is the best way. THis is the way he used to do it when he was foolish enough to not just go buy some new ones. He would take really really fine sand paper or the striker from a match box, he would then take the cover off of a fan, and last but not least he would glue the striker/sand paper to the center of the fan. You turn the fan on and its basically a grinding wheel that is really really fine. Be careful to not overdo it though!!!

needle exchange? 100 needles absolutely free!! free cottons, torniquettes, alcohol wipes, needles, water ampules, condoms, and free testing too. Its the way to go

I know for a fact they have needle exchanges in Florida. I dont know what area swiy is in but it would definitely be worth checking out

Sway knows that its a bad idea to reuse and sharpen needles.. but sometimes its a necessary evil. Sway has heard that they can be sharpened on a match strip. Does anyone have a better way to do it?

Just in case anyone stumbles their way here, let me just say that match strips can contain phosphorus, glass and small splinters (that's bad, dummy).

Yeah, sway is well aware of the contents of match-strike strips, thanks buddy. You have a better way to do it? People are going to sharpen their needles no matter how many people tell them not to and how dangerous it is, all Sway was trying to do is provide people with information and the safest way to do it, dummy. Thats just the cost of doing business. Sway doesn't know anyone that hasn't been in a pinch at one point without a brand spankin new needle, and no way to get one. Some people will poke away for hours with a dull, nasty one, and some will try to sharpen it and probably mess up. So... Sway thought it best to address the question.

And, of course you have to clean the syringe out properly after sharpening, to make sure to wash away any filings, or whatever. Sway doesn't personally sharpen her needles, so she doesn't know for sure, but she can't imagine injecting that crap would be any fun, at all..

SWIM would use either nail files or match strips and then wash the needle tip off.

It's not going to actually sharpen the needle to anywhere near what it was, but the best you can do with them is get the hooks out of the needle tip, which are what cause the most vein damage.
