TEK - "Coca Butter" full spectrum extract ?

Hello All,

SWIM does a "full-spectrum" extraction of sorts with cannabis and butter.

The procedure is fairly simple. In a pot, some water is added along with a stick of butter and the plant material. The water boils, which in turn melts the butter and agitates the product so that eventually the solutes in the plant material dissolve in to the solvent which is the butter. After the solution cools, the plant material falls/stays behind in the water and the activated butter is simply skimmed off the top.

Does anyone think this could be used with coca to yield a "coca butter" extract ? SWIM's knowledge of chemistry is very limited, so he is unsure whether it would be necessary to basify the water prior to adding the butter. Also SWIM was also unsure whether adding a base to the water would prevent the alkaloids from "finding" the butter once they migrated out of the plant matter.

SWIM also thought about this method but subsituting the butter with Glycerine to create a "tincture" of sorts to be used under the tongue. does SWI-Anyone (with some background in chemistry) have any thoughts ?
