Well I saw my therapist today. She said she would put me on adderall,
but since I'm getting UAed and I'm on probation, it would give me a dirty and she doesn't want to go through all that. First she put me on 18 mg... the lowest one, because she was afraid I would have anxiety problems (another reason I have conerta instead of adderall). Today she was going to put me on 27 mg... I didn't want to have to wait another month JUST for 36 mg, so I told her that after about two weeks, the 18 mg stopped working, and there was one day that I really needed to concentrate so I took two of them, and it worked. She looked down on this and said not to do it unless I'm told to, but then she said that if 36 mg works with no anxiety or stomach problems, she'll give me that instead. It's hard to describe to her what being on the medicine is like, since I don't take it every day and haven't developed a tolerance. I take three of them, usually about once or twice a week. Keeps my tolerance down, and keeps me unaddicted So I got the prescription, and looked at the pills. They're about 10 times as big as the 18 mg. This makes me think... do the 36 mg digest slower than the 18 mg? I took two of them, which should be like taking four of the 18 mg (I usually take three)... it seemed like it came on a little slower and I couldn't really tell. Usually I get a pretty hyper buzz where I feel like doing a bunch of things, talking, and asking quesitons. I knew it was working because I've been talking way more, but I haven't really felt the urge to do things. Well what I really want to know is... how many mg of concerta is considered a good high? Or should I try to just take them apart and put the powder in gel caps. I thought this would be impossible with those tiny 18 mg, but it probably wouldn't be too difficult with these. I'm way too much of a pussy to snort anything though. |

Conserta is time released ritialin (methlypheidate). i can see why two 18's would come on quicker, when you take 2 smaller ones your stomich can digest them faster because your have more surface area that is being digested. Now about your doctor,
"She said she would put me on adderall, but since I'm getting UAed and I'm on probation, it would give me a dirty and she doesn't want to go through all that." If your looking for adderall and if it works better for you, you need to tell you doctor to swtich you. regardless of how much work it takes for her. If you have a valid perscription for adderall than it wont matter if you fail the test, just make sure they know it ahead of time. I have been to many phyciatrists in my day, many of them shitty, so dont be afraid to let your doctor know if you are not satisfyed. for 100-200 bux an hour (or less in many cases) you should tell your doctor to give you the scrip. dont be conserned with their well being or time. be conserned with what you want, and what you need. Best of luck, Mike |

Yeah there's no trouble with getting a dirty for a prescription. I've gotten a dirty for benzos and opiates many, many times, but my PO doesn't even say anything about it because he knows I have a prescription for Xanax and cough syrup. And I completely forgot how much the sessions are worth. I have medicaid so I get everything for free, but if I was paying for this myself, I would have asked to see a different doctor and therapist long before now. Getting adderall would be way easier if I werent on probation. Though that makes you think, "Well they don't need to know you're on probation, they're there to make sure you're healthy, not to make sure you're obeying the law". Well, this is a very complex situation. First, I decided I wanted to get adderall, so I went to my regular physician and told him I had ADD so he refered me to a therapist at this place called "Weber Human Services". It was a male therapist. And a good one at that. I never told him I got busted and he didn't know anything like that. I was doing real good, except right before he was going to prescribe me something, he quit his job. Well then the court ordered that I have a drug and alcohol evaluation, so they sent me to another therapist to get the evaluation done at, believe it or not, Weber Human Services. So this new therapist, who is a woman, starts looking through my medical records at Weber Human Services. She reads that I'm being treated for ADD but my therapist quit his job. So she said she'd treat me for it. So now every time I see her, she talks about how to keep myself off drugs while she asks me how I'm doing on others. Oh the irony. Edited by: deadmoap |
