Bong vs Bubbler?

SWIM will be purchasing either a bong or a bubbler soon. Needing your input.

which will save more weed? (meaning, which is more proficient at getting you high, hence saves you the amount of weed needed)

which will get you more high? (heard certain paraphernalia can get you higher than others, although SWIM is not sure if thats just an urban legend)

which do you personally prefer?

in SWIM opinion smoking 1g of bud out of a bong will get SWIM higher that 1g out of a bubbler. If it was me i would definantly go with the bong... but if u go with the bubbler remember t clean it often or don't even put water in it

Your question is not as simple as it may seem. Technically smoking a gram of bud no matter how you smoke it would get you almost equally high.

However... many people like to say that bong rips get you much higher then other smoking methods. This is mostly because using a bong you are able to take much larger hits then say using a pipe. But using a bong you often find that your bowl will dissapear quite quickly often producing only a few fat rips depending on your bowl size.

Personally i think a good bubbler is a more prudent investment of your money. With the right bubbler it is possible to get very fat rips if not equal to, then colse to that of a bong. Bubblers also seem a more versatile piece, more acceptable in various smoking situations. Also in my personal opinion bubblers conserve weed much better then a bong does.

Well if swiy wants to save weed then the best choice overall to do so would be a bowl, but if swiy already has a bowl and is looking to invest into another device for swiy's collection, then swim would recommend a bong. The reason swim says this is because in swim's opinion a bubbler is a little bit more maintenance, as you have to clean it frequently. Also swim has noticed that in smoke shops the bubblers are usually a little bit more pricey than the standard 1-1.5ft bongs. But if money is not a problem for swiy and swiy wants to save the bud and are willing to put the effort into maintaining the bubbler then swim would go ahead and get the bubbler. But a bong will save the weed too, but swiy would have to find one that has a smaller hole in the bowl piece where swiy would pack the buds in, or find one that has several smaller holes in it on the sides instead of directly in the bottom similar to a hash pipe. As for getting the highest swim would have to say that both get her equally tore up. It really depends on what kind of buds you are smoking also. The $100 an ounce stuff is not going to get you where the $50 an 8th stuff would anyways. In the end pick whatever device is right for swiy because swiy will save money not buying papers and blunts anymore unless you crave one every now and then like swim does. Swim guaruntees swiy will be happy no matter which one is chosen as they both will get swiy high in the end.

what are SWIY take on plastic bongs? I know they look less cool, but i dont really care, this is going to be a personal bong, not a bong used with friends.

I am a bit apprehensiouss about getting a plastic bong because i dont like the idea of smoking out of plastic. I know i am not actually burning the plastic itself... but still. Are my worries about the possible toxicity of plastic bongs justified or no in SWIY opinions?

Cowboys agrees that plastic bongs definitely do look less cool, but he would be reluctant to buy one made of glass because they are so easy to break. He's still thinking of buying the Hurricane Bong, though. Last week his German friend showed it to him for at a smart shop where he used to work; they had several sizes and colours for sale, but the cheapest one was almost 500 EUR, which Cowboy thinks is way too much money to spend on something made of glass, no matter how high you get. The Hurricane bong has three successive balls below the neck, as opposed to the usual one in a regular bong. According to Cowboy's German friend, when the user inhales, a sort of mini hurricane is created with the smoke, which hits the user much harder and he gets high as a kite every time, so Cowboy still wants to try it. Regardless of the price, Cowboy would be more likely to buy a bubbler anyway because he's always on the go and wants something portable.

Thanks for the reminder, Enlightenment. Cowboy hasn't smoked from a zong in over 3 years, so almost forgot about them. He loves watching the smoke travel in a zig-zag pattern through the neck of the bong, and thinks this makes for a better high than one can get from a normal bong with a straight neck

Swim is not a big fan of plastic bongs as they have a carb hole and swiy can spill water easily if tilted the wrong way, they are not that good in swims opinion even though they do the same thing as glass, swiy does not have to worry about the plastic melting, toxicity etc. as swim has smoked out of plastic devices many times with no harm being done, if swiy is going to invest in something, swiy wants to make sure that it is worth it and to swim a plastic bong would never make the cut. But like swiy said if it is for personal use and swiy is not buying a bong for the effort and art put into it and the cool looks then swim does'nt see a problem with plastic bongs, like swim said though it is all about the bowl's hole that will determine how swiy's bud will be conserved. The good thing about a plastic bong though is that if swiy drops it, it will not break no where near as easy as a glass piece would, and it is a hell of a lot cheaper.

Swim know swiy asked about bongs and bubblers, but a vaporizer is the most efficient method by far.
The box type works great but can be cumbersome, a volcano vaporizer is awesome but pricey.

SWIM once faced the same Bong v. Bubbler issue SWIY is looking at now, and ended up getting a tiny bong (w/ removable bowl) that is shaped and functions like a bubbler. Best of both worlds.

But if you can keep it around the house, just plunk down the cash for a nice big sturdy simple bong and don't waste your money on other stuff. People always say bubblers are good for portability, but SWIM would *NEVER* consider removing drug paraphernalia from his house in the first place, so SWIY might want to consider that, too.

What SWIM would suggest is to weigh the two variables of the two smoking devices.

1. Mairjuana depletion
2. Concealability

What SWIM would suggest is look at your income. If you can afford a bong make sure its a good one that rips hard and after two hits you need to take that five minute breather. Yes, bong packs do deplete rather quickly if shared by more than two people and if your the only one with the money than you're screwed. Yes, you may be "high" but you wont be as high if you and a couple of buddies all threw in together. Also if you decide to take the bong on a little cruise around town it's a little hard to get out of the car and stick the bong in the trunk which is the only suitable hiding place from the pigs.

The bubbler on the other hand can rip, be hidden easily, and most standard bubblers (depending on quality) can pack a fat bowl and will be more economically appropriate in the long run.

Bottom line If SWIM's parents or whoever SWIM lives with do not care about marijuana than shell out the extra dollars and get a roor bong. But in all other scenarios go with the bubbler. It will be worth it in the long run.

or was it north..I forgot....But I know somewhere in california they prefere to make bubbler with removable bowl peaces.

Bubbler is what swim says to go for.

Im swim own persoanl opinion Bubblers is better because you get phat bong like rips with a pipe like taste..Bong in swin own personal opinion is they totally get rid of or ruin the taste of the buds..That is if swiy is smoking good buds.

unless you are really looking to buy a bong, SWIM would recommend a bubbler. cheaper, smaller, and most of the time you can shove it it your pocket and run

Just know that SWIY will probably want to upgrade later and get a bong because SWIY will feel that they want/need something larger
