Purple/blue skin, redness around eyes after speed
When I got out of bed I noticed my arms had turned purple and pale with darker blue splotches randomly, espcially on my palms. The blood under my finger nails was purple.
My face had the same story, my complexion was very dark, my eyelids were a very bright red, and my skin was purple with darker blue splotches. It was a bit concerning for a while but it went away after a few hours. I'm just wondering what caused it, in case it was something serious? I took 110 - 130mg speed (dex) over 4 hours, had no sleep, nutrition, or fluids between dosing, and noticing these effects today. Cheers. |

Re: Purple/blue skin, redness around eyes after speed
I put it down to dehydration, thus screwing a bit with your circulation. Not only do drugs like this make you need a lot more food and water to stay healthy by speeding up your bodies processes, they annoyingly simultaneously kill your appetite and thirst. Did you have any cold extremities like fingers/toes?
It may have been psychosomatic or anxiety induced also. Or were you pretty laid back about it and not getting into and axiety/panic state of mind? |

I would say unlikely to cause such a notable effect with only 130mg taken, even if it was pure mephedrone.

Yeah, that is a rather drastic reaction for a 130mg dose. Does synesthesiac think the person could play into effect? What if it was a person with circulatory problems to begin with?, maybe not bad ones, but, you know what Im saying? I don't dare speculate as Im not a user of these types of drugs, Swim has friends that are though, but they take doses above 300mg and have had no problems. Would it not be advisable for the OP not to use this quantity again?

Re: Purple/blue skin, redness around eyes after speed
It depends on what the rash exactly looked like. If there was a little bit of red in with the purple than it was obviously circulatory problems. Blood vessel onver constriction, if they were really really dark purple, than that would be like swiys blood vessels are buldging. This can be a side-effect for some with stimulant use. Opps, you said no fluids, sorry, forgot about that part, that would be massive constriction. Swiy is lucky that he didn't experiance much worse effects than this. When swiy had "dark arms", was this a little worse in the elbow area? What about the knees? Swim is asking because as swiy may know, knees, elbows, wrists, eyes, nose, are all areas where the bodys circulation isn't the best anyways. Swiy must consume fluids when doing this again, if he decides to, swim recommends toning it down a little, as he would hate to see one of his fellow swimmers in distress. Swim also agrees with what alfa said as this can be a trait with mephedrone, swim has heard of mephedrone doing this, but not the prescription drugs.hmmmm. Swim hopes it is clear by now that swiy took too much for his body. (Not preaching, just be safe is all). Is it possible that swiy doesn't have the best circulation off of drugs? Take care, stay safe.
