Ritalin Recreationally in ADHD person

Hey guys,

SWIM has ADHD. He was prescribed Concerta 4 years ago. He took 18mg on the 1st day. He felt like a zombie with no control over his actions, but at the same time had the best feeling of calmness and clearheadedness he never experienced before. The same dose the next day did nothing. Upping the dose to 36mg, the feeling was felt, and taking that dose the next day, and the day after that worked. The fourth day it didn’t. SWIM was then switched to Dextroamphetamine in custom compounded 15mg LA pills. They made him feel normal, but able to control what he did. He has been on these pills ever since, and is currently still on them.

SWIM has a brother who is on regular Ritalin 10mg for ADHD. If SWIM was to take these for a recreational purpose to experience the feeling he had when he was on Concerta prior to an event, what dose would be suitable, and how should he take it, bearing in mind that SWIM has a cold at the moment and may find it difficult to snort the crushed pills? SWIM doesn't want a speedy feeling, but the calm feeling he had, and is more concerned with it lasting as long as possible rather than intensity.
