i think that these words are some of the more relaxed words in the english language, they give off not just a relaxed sound, but they give off a more relaxed mood and mentality into the space, and that's always the way to be on weed.

as a general rule i quit hanging out with people once i hear them say
bro, brah, brohan, or broski in a serious context. i live in
california, we have a lot of those surfer type stoner college guys.
thankfully i live in oakland and not like fuckin san diego or orange
county so theres less of that, but there are white people who call
eachother blood seriously. i stick with "dude" and "man". i try not to
present myself as a ridiculous white boy pot head who has no interests
besides pot and skating. i guess i qualify as a ridiculous white boy
pot head, but my interests extend to many drugs besides pot. and i dont
skate. by the way if this post doesnt make a whole lot of sense or
seems ridiculously long and rambling, swim is on 270 mg of concerta at
the moment. this accounts for all his other like 50 posts that have all
been made within minutes of eachother.

i think when your high you just say whatever rolls off the tougne the most easily.

so 1 sylable words are gonna be popular

sayin "dude chips" is a lot easier that saying "jason pass thos chips"

also blieve the relaxed vocabulary thing, tough to say. Weird how
it only happens with weed, there arent really special words said when
on opiates or speed for instance.

I personally do not say "Dude" at all, and only say "Man" once in a while. But I hear others who like to end most sentences with one of them.


My thought: The THC is flowing. He wants to say a lot of things. As a half-a-sentence comes out, his mind is drifting off into a future sentence. He just barely finishes making sense of the First sentence. Whew! Then, to not have to say the future sentence, it is abbreviated: "Man" (I am glad I don't have to say another whole sentence).

People used to call me 'hey dude!' cuz I said that shit so much. It's become a normal part of my vocabulary, sober or high. Lol that makes me sound like an idiot, I can't really help it anymore though and people don't seem to mind... Trying tosound cool and using the word dude doesn't work too well though.. Going up to a "G" and saying 'sup dude' doesn't really go over well...

When swim is relaxed he says words like man, dude, ect with someone he knows well. When swim is stoned, he is relaxed and usually with people he knows well, so it's natural to say these words. There is nothing more annoying than phrases like "dog", "homes" and so on, especially when it's little white kids saying it. Edited by: sands of time
