Swim needs help badly!

Hi all,

I'm here to help out SWIM. He's been smoking pot for over 30 years. He is married with a son on the way in about 5 months. He wants to quit and not disappoint his wife anymore.
The last 6 years he's been ill and in the hospital every month with chronic stomach pain. He gets up doubled over with upper abdominal pain and vomitting. He goes to the emerg and gets the pain under control then can go home. If he doesn't go to the emerg the pain and vomitting doesn't stop.
They found out that his bowels were paralyzed. They of course don't know about the pot issue. If he stops smoking pot the problem goes completely away.
He has spent about 10,000 a year for the last 6 years on the crap.
He quit once and didn't taper and went through withdrawal. It was withdrawal, not just physchological! Anyone who tells you there is no withdrawal, only in your mind is wrong. Mind you the amount he smokes it's understandable.
I'm here to help SWIM quit. Please any advice would be so appreciated. He's depressed over it and I'm sure the pot isn't helping.
