Review PH(X) - best waterpipe EVER

Holy crap. In decades of smoking this is the finest piece of glassware I've
ever owned. They're blown by the same guy who makes the labglass for
Stanford University!

Two-piece, tapered-glass bowl/downstem with a diffuser and optional
ash-catcher...two more bubbling chambers above the main chamber, and
an ice chamber at top. It looks like a very, very tall erlenmeyer flask.

This thing smokes almost as smoothly as a vaporizer, and lets you get a
large volume of smoke in one pull. And those hits are very effective
indeed! I'll post up some pics later.

*edit* OK, I think I may be the world's worst photographer. I'm trying,

This pic I found on a web search gives an idea, I'd like to do some close-
ups, though. In this picture, they have the bowl assembly facing right
towards you, so you can't really see that part. There's a 3 foot model
available (I was afraid to ask how much that one cost), this one is 20
inches tall:



Oh, and my wife, who has very sensitive lungs, says my claim that it's

-the more chambers you have the cooler the smoke is,and there is a greater possibility that you wont inhale as much of the coke,co2,h2o,etc.if you want something that will hit you hart take a toke out of a blast furnace

I'd take a Blue Dot (or roor for that matter) over PHX any day.
BD's perc design is top notch...almost no drag. PHXs drag like
mutherfuckers. I found their joints to be a bit loose as well.

I've never tried the Blue Dot or the Roor, but I understand they have the
same basic design. I really like the way it pulls, the drag does not bother
me. Once the main chamber is clear, I pull out the downstem and rip the
rest. The ground joints are a hair loose - I had no comparison -
but they seal just fine, and it doesn't seem to affect performance at all.

I found a great picture, it seems they finally have a site up. The one I
have has a couple ice-catching dimples right above the top dome, which
isn't pictured. Happy tube-pulling!

I have almost the same exact bong, only without the extra chambers, but mine actually curves almost 360 degrees so it holds the ice over the water just like yours,and makes mine spillproof, and with the ice in it, i cant imagine any weaker of a hit than with ice in it... you really put 3 ice cubes + multi chambers? what do you plan on smoking outta that thing,anyway? is it possible to clean?

swmi tossed all his bongs last year after the fuzz came. he's seen double chambers but never a triple or a glass triple for that matter, what is a ball park price for these types, and is there a vaporizer that is under $100 that is any good?

The ball park ranges from possibly four-hundred to four-hundred. It depends on if you are getting add-ons such as an aschatcher... I personally have come across a few vaporizers that are under $100 that are not half bad... I mean the principal of vaporization is to get the temperature to around 310 degrees or so... If someone was to purchase one with a digital screen more accurately heats the herbs but those range from 200-500 USD or so... Cheers .

I am fairly sure that Stanford University uses your standard, run of the mill Pyrex lab ware. I highly doubt that one man blows all of their laboratory glassware AND produces large quantities of marijuana smoking apparatuses on the side.

Haha Cowboy really wants to try that bong now because it reminds him of himself; he used to get so stressed out sometimes that he would leave the classroom during chemistry tests to get stoned.
