Dreams After Mushroom Use?

SWIM tells me
Quote:
Just a question, this last weekend i took 4 hits of blotter lsd, and the next day i took a eighth of some really good Oregon closed caps. I rarely ever dream, and the next 2 nights i had intense dreams. ive done both lsd and mushrooms several times before and never had this happen. Can anyone relate to this?

Re: Dreams after tripping?

I don't know... Maybe it's because your mind is more open and relax so it can receive and remember much more information? Just a guess

Re: Dreams after tripping?

Although i doubt that you would ever do something as heinous as take hallucinogenic drugs I know some people do... I have this friend who we'll call Swim who has taken them and he found that his dreams became awesome for some time afterward. He's always had really good dreams but they were made more so by the drugs. being off them now they're returning to their normal state. he also found that when he was relaxed and closed his eyes he would get flashes of really weird scenes for half a second. they were just automatic images that he had been subconsciously thinking about. when he closed his eyes they showed up. it wasn't closed eye visuals, it was just a split second of something weird like a horse riding a unicycle. He found that as these went away over time his dreams also went back to normal. they are probably related. swim would imagine that shrooms and such cause your brain to run wild for a while after you take them. this would explain why your dreams are so much more vivid.

Re: Dreams after tripping?

Swim had the craziest dream one night while falling asleep at the end of the shroom trip. Complete with a storyline, plot, and the whole shabang. At that point in time he never dreamed at all (or at least never remembered them).

Re: Dreams After Mushroom Use?

SWIM has noticed that his dreams become much more "cohesive" in the immediate weeks after a psychedelic experience. He had one dream in particular that was like watching a movie, as he wasn't more than a passive observer (SWIM always experiences dreams as an actual character, so this is highly unusual). The dream seemed to eat up the entirety of his night's sleep, with all of the signs of a developed story (conflict, climax etc), although he can't really recall most of it now.

Re: Dreams After Mushroom Use?

I've noticed since my journey into the use of Mushrooms, all of my dreams have been entered into a new stage of dreaming. They're more elaborate, trippy, and quarter a higher understanding and meaning. I now am able to recall my dreams more often. Latley I'll also have insane lucid dreams, I'll wake up and know I'm awake and my dream will still be going on around me. Such as when I woke up when I was surfing in my dream, and I had fallen and went under the wave. I woke up I was still underwater, I could see the waves forming on my ceiling in my room, everything was wet and floating up to the top of the water, this all ended within minutes.

Mushrooms bring you to the other side, dreams keep you there.
