Purity - Insight for methylone reagent testing and following experience

Following a multitude of reagent testing carried out on methylone with marquis SWIM would like to hear what others think may be the reasoning behind the eventual experience of the substance itself.

Having tested batches of methylone before and in line with similar testing reports carried out by others SWIM was aware of the reaction to look for when methylone is tested with marquis. Upon testing a batch just last week there proved to be little - no reaction when methylone was added to marquis i.e. a small amount of fizzing was witnessed but no color change. As this batch could have been any unknown white powder SWIM then put it to the back shelf.

Just last night SWIM's friend of a friend decided to orally test this batch (as he believed it the lack of reaction could have been in line with it being heavily cut or something else added to the final synth of methylone). In the interests of harm reduction SWIM advised him to start with an allergy dose, and titrate upward from there; this consisted of around 10mg. All doses were taken orally mixed with water. He waited around 30-40 mins after this allergy dose and following no reaction took a further 20mg. As before and following no effect he took an additional 50mg after around 20-30 mins further. Around 20 mins or so following this he took an additional 60mg dose. There still being little to no effect (perhaps some slight music appreciation) after around 1:00 - 1:30 following the first dose he decided to take a dose of 100mg.

Around 10-20 mins following this dose the initial effects began, he started stating how the music playing was starting to sound even better and better and then, and SWIM was not expecting this, the intense empathy and love he was experiencing building. Unlike other batches of methylone he had sampled and tested he remarked how so much more intense the empathy and loved up feeling was. In relation to other synths he remaked how the small amount of empathy there was had fizzled out after around 20 mins of the come-up to peak effects, whereas in this case the empathy, after around 00:30-1:00 was still going strong (he had last taken methylone 6 days prior in a recreational dose (200mg followed by 100mg redose 1:30 mins after, so tolerance would have to be taken into consideration).
In his words he was experiencing one of the best batches of what he determined to be methylone (regarding the intense empathy and with nothing apparent in the way of negative effects, no unwanted stimulation etc) and how he defined his mood at the time as feeling 'perfect'. Indeed some of the outward things he was saying to SWIM and another friend there were very indicative of a complete breaking down of emotional barriers (normally a very protective person where emotional feeling is concerned).

Today he remarked how there were no apparent after effects or comedown post experience. He also commented on the intense beautiful afterglow he experienced last night after peak effects.

Now SWIM didn't experience as he did so cannot comment or draw any comparison on how methylone like this experience is likened to any past experiences but he was very very sure the effects he was feeling were very strong empathetic and loved up, very much similar to previous tested synths of methylone he had tried but much stronger, cleaner and purer feeling.

Can any SWIY on here provide any insight into the testing of this batch showing no reaction to marquis to the actual researching of it appearing to be what was described as undoubtedly methylone. Has any SWIY encountered any similar circumstances regarding the testing of such substances being null whereas the eventual experience turned out to be something quite different. Previous batches that yielded a positive methylone reaction were tested with the same marquis reagent, and some at the same time. Additionally this synth was also tested with Mandelin and yielded the same non reaction.

Any insight into this would be much appreciated as SWIM has no idea how this could come about; something added to the final synth or cut with the methylone that reversed or canceled out the reagent testing of the methylone itself?. For one thing it has SWIM very hopeful now on a batch he had almost completely written off as 'anything'.
