I figured this out on my way home from a Black Sabbath concert. People are attracted to other people because A: They are the same kind of people as themselves or B: The person you're attracted to is your ideal. What you want to be.
So. If people loved themselves and their life whole heartedly, techniclly they would not have a need to feel attracted to other people. So if people hate parts of themselves, they seek out other people to compensate for them.
If people loved themselves, we wouldn't be looking for romantic companionship. So self-hate is the main thing that keeps our species alive. If everybody loved themselves like Bhuddha or something, the human race would become extinct. In other words, a fulfilling love for yourself is the meaning of life as god would intend. Unless he's a complete dumbass.
What do you think?
