Re: Why is there NO Meth in the u.k?
It seems strange that the UK hasn't had the meth epidemic people were expecting to happen like in the US.
Part of the answer lies in the fact that the UK market is already saturated with Amphetamines and has been so for many years. Dealers are not willing to invest in something that could be more expensive to make and yield less profits in the long run. Of course meth is going to be there, but it will not take off at the speed(no pun intended) it did in the US as users and dealers are very familiar with the old system. Swim is confident that in the future as more people become familiar with this substance we will slowly see a shift in the market towards the production this drug. There are some very interesting publications which points towards this on the SOCA(Serious Organised Crime Agency) website. |
