Strange experience

A few weeks ago, two close friends, Pikachu and Charmander went down to the beach to a place where they frequent occassionally. It is known to most as "Stoner's Cave".

After a fair few spliff's, they were both quite royally out of it. Somehow, they were having strange insightful discussions, mainly talking about the universe, and our significance in it, etc.

One such discussion which struck Pikachu was one which last for about 40 minutes, and during that time both Pikachu and Charmander somehow managed to prove that everything was something, and something was everything... Zero was every number, yet at the same time "nothing" was surely "something", even if that "something" was "nothing".

Now Pikachu is annoyed because he is SURE that they had proved this uncategorically... The problem is he doesn't remember how!

Anyone else had experiences where they have discovered something meaningful and then forgotten how it happened?
