Health - Zopiclone: Friend and Foe

I have had a prescription for Zopiclone for about two years.

At first I would get rather drunk from the pill (7.5mg), mild hallucinations, amnesia if I fought the urger to sleep, and of course it was really easy to fall asleep. Tolerance builds fast. I have lost the euphoric feelings now even if I've stopped using for a while.

Using multiple days in a row has shown me a glimpse of this drugs addictive potential, therefore I only use it once or twice a week now; some times I go several weeks without.

I do find that it is a god send when I need to sleep. The draw backs:

- Metallic taste in mouth for the next day
- On rare occasions I'll have a hung over type feeling
- It seems to induce mood swings and low mood
- I also find that the next day I can't opererate %100 in a professional manner for work, I feel like I'm operating at %85; its nothing to serious but kind of a bitch when I need to be on my game.

I would love to here from some of you that have been prescribed this drug for a long time. Are there any side affects you have noticed? Any health issues. Any mental issues? I've read that this substance is very carcinogenic. Please share even SWIY's who've been experimenting. Thanks a bunch.
