At the beginning of A Clockwork Orange Alex says, "The Korova milk bar sold milk plus drencrom, synthemesc or vellocet, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence." Now, 'synthemesc' probably means 'synthetic mescaline', 'drencrom' sounds like it's adrenochrome, but the question is, what the hell could 'vellocet' refer to?
