100mg dexedrine in one day, strange effects
although pretty experienced with amphetamine, SWIM usually takes adderall, but this time he got dexedrine. dosing several times a week, (not necessarily every day though, but some weeks almost every day, and usually dosing 50-75mg), he has a pretty high tolerance. anyway, today, after taking dexedrine in excess of 100 milligrams (more amphetamine than he's ever ingested in the space of 24 hours), SWIM started to notice some pretty strange effects:
-significant shift in perception of reality (more than usual while speeding; feeling of dissasociation from where SWIM really is, "not all there")
-some sudden, brief nausea earlier that made SWIM gag, did not vomit though
-strange visual sensations (everything looks all wierd...can't really describe it, but SWIM's field of vision seems somewhat distorted and everything looks and feels unstable, like the world is moving all around him)
the exact dose was 30mg snorted 21 hours ago, 45mg taken orally 12 hours ago, then another 45mg snorted about 3 hours ago. all of it was dexedrine spansules, the snorted ones were thoroughly crushed up and hit SWIM harder than the oral doses. SWIM slept 2 hours last night. no other substances are present in his system. mentally and physically, he feels extremely euphoric, and pretty relaxed, psychologically in a deep, almost meditative state. in fact, SWIM could say he's enjoying this quite a bit. no auditory or visual hallucinations, aside from the slight visual disturbances mentioned earlier.
anyway, oddly enough, SWIM doesn't feel paranoid, scared or the least bit uncomfortable, but is suprised over these very powerful effects. SWIM feels pretty comfortable and isn't too worried about it, but was just wondering what is really the main cause of this: dose, frequency of using, sleep deprivation, or just the fact that it's dexedrine, which SWIM only tried once and isn't too familiar with, instead of adderall? or could it be a combination of several or all of these things?
