In the near future I may be switching from MSContin 90mg/dayto Methadone for chronic pain management.I Currently take Xanax from a different doctor. I heard a rumor that it is not good to mix Xanax and Methadone is this true; or another urban legend? Also, since I have never used Methadone for pain, is it more readily absorbed than MSCOntin? Is it better overall for pain? Thanks.Edited by: Interzone
