Kidney donor and pain pills

Hey everyone i have a quesiton.

If a person is a kidney donor and only has one kidney at the moment but takes oxycodone/hydrocodone occaisionally is it safe? For instance i am talking about maybe 3 times a month for recreational use and no more than 20mg at a time. Since you get these when you are recovering from surgury ie..kidney donation i assume they cannot be that bad for you? From what i have read the apap is the bad thing, but 1) if you do cold water extraction then what are the long term harms of doing this for recreation every now and then and 2) even if one didnt do cold water extraction wouldnt it not be that bad anyways because of the infrequencY? Really what i want to know is it just as bad on your kidney/liver as drinking alcohol occasionally or is there a long term effect i should know about.

ps.....I have already read the threads on addiction and the person i am asking about has been doing this for 12 months already and have never increased frequency or dose so i am not worried abou this.
