Concerta: Is a Water Extraction Pointless?

SWiM has twice performed a water extraction procedure with 27mg Concertas. Both times, he's noticed that, with the exception of the osmotic membrane and the green polymer sponge, the pill dissolves in water completely. After filtering, there is nothing left behind in the filter except for little bits of the green sponge that he accidentally added to the water. And after evaporating, the residue is an elastic, fibrous sheet that is impossible to reduce to powder.

Is everything in the pill really water soluble? Would an Isopropyl Alcohol Extraction be more effective?
