SWIMS "brush with DEATH" Methadone OD and 10 day detox!
Swim has finally had one of those NDE's. You know,,.. the one that freaks you out so bad it scares you straight!!! SWIM is currently clean and detoxed of ALL drugs even Nicotine! He used to chew 2 cans of dip a day.
Swim was doing his suboxone taper and came to the last part, ran out. But after that is where things get a little hazy. SWIM remembered he had 2 doses of Methastone, lol left approx 170mgs. SWIM had remembered his old dosing #'s and SIX DAYS later after being on a ventilator and in a a chemically induced coma, he finally comes to... All this was done right from the local ER and the Intensive care units. Needless to say SWIM was scared and wanted answers.... Especially after the 6 ER techs came and jammed an antipsychotic into his leg then threw water on him... They said SWIM was hallicinating badly which he was. SWIM thought he was in a foreign country like China or Japan in a recovery center. Recovery center yes! Wife and dad say no, just the localle ER was what they did with SWIme.
Swim stayed there puking up red gook with a vacuum device for a day. I have read others describing the Wisemann Method as akin to having a roxor stuck down ones throat and then switched to puree.
Swim stayed a total of 10 days and his doc "Dr R. Dingus" NO LIE on the name either. Says "he's ready to go, he's fully detoxed"
Swim ordered the house turned upside down and fully cleaned of any traces of "temptable" material seeing how swim is so "Multi-zipper-lipped" His mind would start playing those smart tricks to go dig up a a bottle and use. But SWIM is too scared to take any chances with ANYTHING now he is finally clean. Even after 13 days, the runs and insomnia still are a drag but has finally tasted victory. SWIM got hooked right back up with NA/AA and started working the first step again right off. SWIM is also starting to see the flashes of REM sleep returning which is very welcome. The guys that came from the 12 step program said there were 8 more OD's comming in on the day SWIM was leaving.
