are opiates and benzo's supposed to cause recreational effects at prescribed dosages?
swim has noticed that many people take larger amount of opiates and benzo's than what is prescribed to them. clearly they do this for recreational effects.
but dont prescribed dosages provide a mild recreational effect?
and once a person HAS taken a larger amount of opiates or benzo's, does the normaly prescribed theraputic doses do anything for them(assuming there is no tolerance).
what swim is trying to say is this: lets say a person likes to get high off of recretional dosages. and then lets say the person doesnt do this enough to get a tolerance, does regular prescribed doses ever do anything for them? for example lets say a person takes 20mg of oxycodone as a recreational dose ONE TIME. and then next week they get a headache and take a regular 7.5mg of oxy. after experiencing such a higher dose before would 7.5mg ever seem satisfying again?
or are pharmaceticals in general only used to get high on much higher dosages than what is prescribed? and the prescribed doses of pharms only used to treat an ailment producing only a mild high? it just seems like people who get high off these pills at very large doses, how could a normal medical dose ever seem satisfying again or even helpful in a medical sense even without a tolerance.
