Opinions - hydrocodone: bitartrat vs. tannate

Hey Swimmers, as the cat was poking around the interweb, he noticed a hydrocodone product he'd never heard of before. Similar to the cough med Tussionex (Hydro Bitrartrate and Chlorpheniramine), he found a liquid med called Novasus -- Hydrocodone Tannante w/ either Chlorpheniramine Tannate or Psuedoephedrine Tannate. Another brand name is SymTan. Never seen it or even heard of it in the cat's circles. There's an NDC code, but I don't see the letters "USP" anywhere, so maybe it's not in the US pharmacopeia.

-Tannate isn't something one comes across very often, at least in Swim's experience. Anyone have input on potentcies, general experiences, etc?? Anyone even heard of it?
