Effects - GHB vs GBL

SWIM has recently had the opportunity to try some GBL, having previously been an occasional user of GHB. Having done his research he found out that the two chems were identical in their effects (GBL converting to GHB in the human body), and that the conversion ratio was 1cc GBL equivalent to 1.4g GHB.

However, having now tried the GBL, his own experience is somewhat different. He would say that though very similar to GHB, GBL is somewhat less euphoric or 'fun' than GHB, and has a weaker hypnotic effect. He would also say that the conversion ratio is more like 1cc GBL is equivalent to 0.8 - 1.0g GHB.

These results are of course highly subjective, and in the absence of any scientific equipment he is taking the purity of the two substances at face value (they both did come from trusted sources, though of course even trusted sources can make mistakes).

Anyway SWIM was wondering if anyone else had had similar thoughts on the comparitive effects of these these chemicals.
