Question Rapid hair & nail growth with drug use

pre warning, smurf is no brain terms expert... drugs seems to have kept the swimmers general growth down from a young age. was curious to the effects of ones hair growth whilst on various forms of gravy... it was noted with swimmers facial hairs along with finger & toe nails that they grew quicker whilst on substances. smurf thinks it might just be that the swimmers he knows & sweyself just do'nt pay much attention to when last they cut & trimmed. but at the same time they pretty convinced that it does grow quicker while under the influences from noting durations between intervals. they are self aware to their hygiene & appearance & it appears to grow quicker when swimming & alot slower when not swimming...

the gravy they used most often was cocaine & amphetamines.

Hair loss has been a sensitive problem for men, since times immemorial. The two main causes of hair loss in men are genetics and hormonal imbalances. 95% of men suffer from androgenetic alopecia or male pattern hair loss. But now the scientists have found out that the major cause of hair loss is DHT (dihydrotestostrone).

How DHT affects hair loss: DHT is a male hormone that plays an important role in the development of men in the initial stages. But it also has an adverse effect on the male hairline. It results in the shrinkage of hair follicle till it is unable to generate any new hair. Higher the level of DHT means smaller the size of hair follicle. In the end, the hair follicle becomes so small that no new hair grows. Hair follows a cycle of expansion, falling out and new expansion. With high levels of DHT, the time for expansion and falling out phases is reduced. This causes the hair on the scalp to thin.

Scientists Say Aging May Result From Brain's Hormonal Signals.

By NICHOLAS WADE
Published: October 10, 2000
Could it be that aging, like puberty and menopause, is a programmed life-cycle event set off by hormonal signals from the brain?

A new study suggests that in the laboratory roundworm, and maybe people too, youthfulness is maintained by hormonal signals from the brain. When the neurons that transmit the signal suffer damage from the wear and tear of normal metabolism, the youthfulness signal fails, and the body's tissues all lapse into senescence at about the same time.

The theory that aging is a programmed, hormonal event has been proposed before, but the new study, by Dr. Gary Ruvkun and colleagues at Harvard Medical School, seems to present the most detailed support of it so far.
so with this said & proven could there be the possibilities that the signals from the brain that alters, controls or creates the hormone is changed/damaged or prolonged from recreational drugs swimmers take? it appears to alter the chemistry in the brain to change the regular patterns & cycles to irregular patterns & create new possibilities? smurf has always believed drugs has kept him & others young 'physically & spiritiually' compared to alot of other non drug users. not counting heavy abuse

as for the hair...we all know hair growth drugs are available on the market... possibly sciencests have over looked or not allowed recreational drugs as an alternative to hair growth, as it's not a natural alternative for consumers.

any one noticed the same or any facts from scientific/medical research, theories & ideas?
