foolishly injecting pills
New here and I apologize if this is in the wrong forum but since it concerns several types of pills (not used in combination) I wasn't sure where to enter this post.
Basically, swim has a pretty bad addiction to pills. Mainly it is with adderall, xanax, klonopin, hydrocodone and oxycodone. Swim has been a pill-popper for several years now and has developed quite a tolerance to aforementioned pills. Recently, swim acquired some needles and was considering the idea of beginning to inject to intensify the effects and possibly not have to take as many orally as swim would to reach desired high.
Swim will be the first to admit that she was stupid, VERY stupid and not well-informed on the safe procedures (well, as safe as pill injecting can be) and did not educate herself on the dangers of pill injecting. Once again, swim stresses her stupidity. When she first started, she wasn't even using a filter. Some of the chalky residue would get into the needle and she would inject it anyway. Eventually she learned of the importance of filtering and began to filter before injecting.
Swim has been doing this for about 2 months now and so far, has not had any problems to date. Once she sat down on the computer and read up on the dangers of pill injections, she decided to no longer inject any pills. She has since gotten rid of her needles and has become pretty scared about what may happen to her. It has been 4 days since the last injection and her veins feel and appear healthy. Swim is just wondering about the long term effects injecting pills in an unsafe manner could have on her.
Thanks in advance for any information anyone can provide. I don't know if swim is out of the danger zone with her health but she is thankful she did finally learn what a bad choice she made and chose to end what she began.
