What to make of Morphine
Alright, so here's the deal:
SWIM has extracted morphine from a bunch of poppy pods, in the form of morphine sulfate. SWIM tried an actual MS Contin pill the other day and said his chest felt real heavy, it was a 30mg dose, 2/3s of which he snorted, and the other 1/3 he ate (all at the same time). SWIM's tolerance is not very developed (and likes to keep it that way....20mg of OC is good for him for example). Anyways, back to the point, it wasn't a very euphoric high for SWIM, he was quite uncomfortable throughout the whole thing because of the heavy chest.
Now, SWIM would prefer to snort the goodies, so that's what he tried when he first refined his morphine, but soon discovered through testing and through these forums that morphine is only about 10% bioavailable through insufflation. What SWIM wants to know is can he chemically convert the morphine into either oxymorphone, hydromorphone, dihydromorphone, or something similar in order to achieve these goals:
1. bioavailability of intranasal decent (40% or better maybe?)
2. not as heavy on the chest (quite uncomfortable, anyone else have that problem?)
3. decent euphoria or course!
SWIM is fairly competent 'in the lab' but would certainly prefer a simple process for refinement, common reagants, etc.
Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions, etc. would definitely be appreciated, thanks!
