GBL GI tract damage? kidney damage?

SWIM takes <1ml of GBL 2-3 times a day. It is obtained through a site that markets the chemical as a wheele cleaner fwiw. Obv its industrial use is as a solvent so SWIM wonders if it damages the mouth/throat/GI tract. It is mixed with ~50ml of soda and swallowed then washed down with another 100+ml of soda, never by itself.

Also, in another thead someone mentioned that if "SWIM took gbl multiple times a day, their kidneys would go to sh*t". How does this kidney damage come about?
