Making salvia divinorum Extract Burning Off

Tried making extract and I can get it work the basic ways, btw the oils are trippy to watch, but once tried burning the alcohol off, like as done with crank and things, which I DO NOT DO, but a few friends of mine do, and they suggested it so I rushed a small batch, just about 5 grams worth, then burnt the alcohol off, wasn't really enough there to tell how well it worked, but it worked on me but I've been hitting level 3 steadily off of one leaf hit, just had stronger threes from it, so I think it works, but leaf works on me. I know the boiling point for Sal A is 277 F and I don't think the burning off would get it that hot but not sure, anyone else tried this, it seems like a much quicker, but also more dangerous way, wouldn't recomend trying it with any large containers of the acetone/isopropanol salvia mix, could very likely go boom. Also tried it in the oven once and somewhere between 200 and 220 it started to boil after 10 min's, after that I would leave it a 170, always with the door open a crack, is boiling bad for it? I've heard just letting it eveaporate on it's own helps with the potency, not sure, any help?
