Dichloroacetate; cheap effective anti cancer drug?
I've been hearing quite a bit about this lately, usually in anti-Big Pharm rants.
Apparently dichloroacetate has been proven to effectively kill most types of cancers. This chemical has never been approved for therapeutic use and has stayed almost completely under the radar. Of course, dichloroacetate is cheap and unpatentable, so no company would have any desire to get it approved. I would like to know if anyone else has heard about this chemical, and what your thoughts are.
