Why no euphoria?

SWIM has been doing cocaine 3 days a week for a little over a year, and loved it because of its euphoric effects, and how it gave him the energy to want to do anything, and at the same time not worry about anything at all.
Then SWIM tried smoking meth 2 weeks ago, and its effects were simalar, except the high lasted longer, and didn't make me feel like I needed to be doing something. After about a week of SWIM using meth every day, the euphoric effects just didn't kick in anymore. So SWIM waited 3 days till using again, thinking that would be long enough for short term tolerance to go down, but it wasn't. Even after waiting 3 days still no euphoria. This is a problem to SWIM because the "everythings all right, I'm so happy" euphoric effects is why SWIM does coke and meth. SWIM is wondering if maybe he has to wait longer for tolerance to go down, or if his meth he got after the first week was just very low purity, or maybe some other problem.
