Adderall tolerance effecting tolerance of other drugs

My friend has a prescription to adderall and has built up a moderate tolerance (he needs 40mg or so to feel anything.) He took ecstasy last weekend and it took a couple extra pills for him to get the same feeling as his friends who have had the same history of drug use except for adderall, so he was wondering if they had some connection since the ma part of mdma is methamphetamine.

Sorry if I broke any rules or repeated another post, it's a lot of stuff to keep track of.
