Vicodin Extract

Theoretically, if one were to have 4 Vicodin ES = hydrocodone bitartrate (7.5mg ea.) + acetaminophen (750mg ea.), would the procedure for the isolation of the hydrocodone bitartrate be the same as codeine in any other pill? My "guess" is that one would need no more that 2 at once but the filler would cause stomach problems so the polarization of the elements would simplify ingestion. I've never done this before so if one only has 4 there is really very little margin for error and one would want to get it right on the first try. I was just wondering about a definitive procedure for this specific pill. thanx alot
