The Opium/Poppy forum is probably my only interest for now... Nice to meet you all, you certain have a wealth of knowledge here, more so than the other website, unfortunately that other site isnt accepting new members right now.

Well, I've got a couple quick questions... I have this friend SWIM who's been taking 3-4 7.5mg Lortabs daily for chronic back pain. SWIM also has a couple beers with them. SWIM's back condition has been pretty bad for about 2 years now and SWIM is concerned about all the acetominiphen (tylenol) tearing up his liver over time.

So, SWIM researched info about Opium and just received his first package of seeds from Canada. They're a mixed bag of seeds.

They look like this:

Any idea what kind of seeds these might be? They claim they're all P.Som.

SWIM has a couple questions:

1) Planting? Hypothetically, starting about a half dozen seeds in those peat cups (maybe 20 cups)? Whatever germinates thin out to 1 or 2 plants? Then transplant outside? Plant now Nov/Dec so the roots can strengthen over the winter for spring growth?

2) Plant second crop in spring?

3) SWIM hypothetically would like to know how many pods to slice/scratch to "milk"... how many pods hypothetically would it take to collect enough tar to cook down in some water to make putty. SWIM heard that smoking cooked putty makes for pleasureable viewing, but only to smoke about a pea sized ball of putty (5-6mm in diameter?) SWIM already read that reducing further down to crystal on a baking dish requires an amount about the size of a match head to smoke.

4) SWIM hypothetically also plans to dry and save some pods/stems for tea. When making tea, there are figures all over the place because no one can tell what concentration of M is in the pods. Is it correct to assume that for a noob to start with 3 pods (no stem, no inside ribs, crown removed, just pod walls)?

5) Is there a difference between make fresh tea and making tea from straw?

My bad, SWIM forgot that there was already another post that recommended grinding up all of the straw (pods and stems) into a dry powder and starting with 5 grams of dried material to make tea. Is this a standard procedure? What about fresh pods? Can the milky sap be licked right off the pod?

GJ

One last comment, sorry for the n00b questions... I'm sure they're asked a lot, and yes SWIM did use the search button, but when dealing with this type of material and OD is very possible... like SWIM's daddy used to say, measure twice and cut once! Well SWIM is measuring 3 times! and checking his P's and Q's.
