Health - buprenorphine and benzodiazepines

swim is on suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) for about 1 year. swim has finally stopped wanting to slam heroin but still thinks about cocaine. swim has a couple bad cravings a weed for slamming cociane. when swim takes these really bad cravings he takes a benzo such as alprazolam (Xanax) or clonazepam (Klonopin). they put him at complete ease and allows swim to sit back and work through the craving. oh yeah swim never takes more than 1 milligram of either. he isnt trying to het high. they have always prevented the cravings turning into using. swim went to his physician yesterday and told him about what he was doing, and to maybe even see if he could do this legally with a script (although swim never asked about that). swims physician actually seems quite angry with what swim was doing. he said it is EXTREEMLY dangerous even at these low doses. swim has tapered from 32mg and now is at 22mg and has been tapering by 2mg every couple of weeks. anyways, honestly how dangerous is this low doses with the suboxone? is anyone else who is on buprenorphine perscribed benzos? swim heard it was only really dangerous when large amounts of benzos and buprenorphine were intravenously injected together. any input at all would be great, thank you.
