Selegiline + PEA + Hordenine

Selegiline + PEA + Hordenine

SWIM has been dosing about 5 mg a day for a week with selegiline. This dosing schedule has been 2 mg upon awakening and 3 mg one hour later (T + 1 hour), being aware of a characteristic of selegiline's half-life being increased dramatically when dosed as such.

Today, SWIM decided to try dosing 2 mg of selegiline upon awakening, 3 mg at (T + 1 hour), and 2 mg at (T + 6 hours). SWIM experienced a light mood-brightening, energizing effect similar to a half a cup of coffee. Having remembered reading about how selegiline inhibits MAO-B, thereby slowing the metabolism of dopamine AND beta-phenylethylamine (PEA), SWIM decided to take a capsule containing 250 mg of PEA and 50 mg of hordenine (a tyramine derivative which acts as a weak MAO-B inhibitor) at (T + 6.5 hours).

WOW. At (T + 6.75 hours) SWIM experienced a rush of euphoria reminiscent of past experiences with MDMA. The rush ended about 15 minutes later, but it is followed by a few hours of motivation and alertness.
