Opinions - Gove's flaw in "parenting" when it comes to their "children" and drugs

Does anyone ever think about just how rediculous the goverment acts with their drug laws(i know duh!), i mean their choice of action with these "illicit substances".

what i tell people when they ask why im pro-drug, or just happen to be on the opposite side of the drug war, and also why i believe they are compleately ineffective when it comes to keeping people away from drugs.

When i look at the action-role of the government upon illigal use of banned substances the way i see it is:

The government is acting extremely similar to a teenager's parrents! If you think about it, the gov. will tell you:

mom: "now tod(kid name), drugs are bad! dont use them or you will be in a heap of trouble mister!

tod: "why momy?"

mom: "because they are bad, they will kill you! END OF DISSCUSSION!"

tod:"i mean i just want to know...but..imean..." mom-I said END OF DISSCUSION!"

Now, tod will usually decide to go behind his moms back, as will many who's ignorant parrents tell them what not to do. i mean, we all know how people do things exclusively that their parent tell them not to do! AND, we all know one of the worst factors of their action, is they dont explain the TRUTH to ALL sides of thinhs like drugs.

Instead of treating citizens like a bunch of kids and telling us that we will be introuble for use of a number of psychoactive substances, on top telling us it is unhealthy(exaderratively) and throwing us in jail and what not, they need to be better "parents", what they need to do is legalize and moderate, and reveal ALL sides of drugs, especially how to use responsibly! Simply telling us NOT to use it or else.. is acting like retarded parents, in which have kids doing alot more than they believe.

Useing alchohol for an example, it is for sure that alchol IS a powerfull DRUG, even mind altering, in which have came to notice upon car accidents, massive addiction with emmediate withdraw-symptoms(hang-over), violence, aswell is lengthy list of trouble that Ethanol will carry, YET, what do we do? Moderate! If we take marijuana, how many neggative effects are their as compared to alcohol, why hell, no withdraw symptoms, no addiction, etc! I mean, alcohol is still legal hanging from a thread, due to the fact that it has been for a LONG time. So why is still around legally?

If you talk to an average mother about "drugs and alcohol" she will trash "drugs", she will usually insist that alcohol is in a seperate catagory by referring to to substances as: "drugs and alcohol", just because it is legal it is an Angel! Our average society (at least in the U.S) is brainwashed by authority when it comes to said "drugs", we seem to believe for example, if we see one person snprt a line of cocaine ONCE that they are an automatic addict! "they are bad, it is illigal and evil, etc!" come-on people! And if we happen to see someone(perhaps in family) drink alcohol excessively, then we will be stupid and laugh it off and say : "alcoholic". and not care... intill bad-health skyrockets!

...just a little bit of drug-propaganda from me, all opinion.

so in conclusion, what do you tell someone when it come's to the war?
