Swim had been looking for LSD for quite some time as it is hard to find in his town. He finally found 4 hits on litmus paper with a red and white Anarchy symbol. He loves sunrises on acid so he ate 2 hits just before 11pm. He turned on his well worn copy of the yellow submarine and sat down with a couple buddies, who have never done acid and wanted to see what someone was like on it. After about a half hour SWIM could feel it, but was not blown away yet.
Around the point in the yellow submarine where they reach Pepperland after the green flashing trippy bit, he was pretty much on his ass after smoking a small bowl of hash. It was at this point one of his friends introduced a pack of pencil crayons. SWIM loves to express himself artistically, but sucks hard and draws like an 8 year old child. He just enjoys the act of coloring and playing around. As it turns out these crayons would become the focus of the trip for a couple hours of enjoyment.
Below is the first drawing after the bowl of hash just Chilling watching the Beatles, the room was dark except the light coming off the TV.
Once yellow submarine was over SWIMs friends had to leave as they worked early in the morning it was around midnight and he smoked a little more hash and turned on his favourite movie in the world the Woodstock 3 days of peace and music dvd. SWIM decided to start drawing and tripping away. The visual hallucinations were coming on stronger now and SWIM decided he needed the other 2 hits, so well he listened to Canned Heats Going up the Country he held the two other hits under his tounge. Well the first side played Swim sketched the upper part of the next picture, he was imagining himself falling down the rabbit hole and well not really intending to draw it it just came out. SWIM was pretty amazed when he figured out what he drew because he was holding the page upside to begin with and he was doodling at the bottom, that became the top.
The bottom part came over most of the second side of the woodstock dvd with Hendrix and Alvin Lee as inspiration. He decided to draw a face but got bored and so he added colours and craziness in large doses.
After this he wondered around the house looking at things and laughing at his cat calendar who seemed to really be smiling at him, which made him feel a great sense of euphoria. Swim went to his room with a lava lamp and headphones with Machine head and Dark side of the moon loaded in the changer. The music made swim gasp out loud at points it was so amazing. Every emotion you could feel, the screams, the happy chords, SWIM hung onto every single note of both albums and has never felt as at one with the world as he did there. The ceiling looked like a canvas hanging from the 4 corners of the room and people in the roof were tracing waves and spirals in 3-d from the ceiling, it began to dip down at points in giant stalagmites.
Swim went outside and sketched a little more after this mind blowing experience and had some more hash as the sun began to creep into the sky. He lost a lot of interest in drawing here and just sort of sketched randomly for a while.
Towards the end of the second drawing he turned on the who Live at Isle Of Wight 1970, so those of you who know will understand most of the shit on it otherwise i just look crazy, which is supremely possible.
At this point it was about 6am and SWIM was fucked, re-dosing after ~2.5 hours really appeared to be effective for swim, he also recommends hash and sweet wines as a good time but should be enjoyed in moderation as too much of either can push you out of your happy place.
That picture came around 7am outside watching myself in the sunrise, as i said i have the artist skills of a chimpanzee but it was fun at the time. There were some gray clouds in the sky and swim was twirling them around in big cone in the sky with his finger, swim got some white clouds mixed up into this cone and it looked like a giant swirl ice cream cone in the sky , it was one of the most amazing OEV swim has seen lit by early morning golden light it made him fall to his knees and stare at it, but as soon as swim stopped twirling his finger the clouds began to spread out again and cover the sky, it was fun to be cloud master for a half hour or so.
By this point swim was getting tired and laid on the couch to listen to abbey road and the new Beatles Love cd. He started drawing lightly in the first drawing, but decided he wanted to go hard and see bright color blocks and stuff, beats me as to why, but then he came up with the second drawing below.
Swim finally let up after a while and floated away on the beatles love cd he listened to it twice, the song lucy in the sky with diamonds was his favorite, i will never look at the song the same it was so incredible on lsd it was just a great great song. At this point he took out a strobe and black light to try and bring on more hallucations, it always seems to SWIM the last 2 hours before come down have the most OEV and CEV activity and earlier in the trip is more audio and emotional hallucination's. The last sketch was done in these settings about 10:30 in the morning.
The trip had a very good come down probably assisted by the hash, and swim was lights out by noon. He awoke around 6pm feeling very refreshed and spiritual, which is a very unusual feeling for swim as he isn't religious at all. He feels very at peace now, swim had been dealing with a few issues and they have all been resolved after seeing things from a different LSD outlook. Swim wishes peace, love and LSD to all who want it. It was alot of fun to revisit this trip and it brings a big smile to swims face just thinking about it.
