Q re: trichloroethylene (Trimar)
Doing a little reading on Jim Morrison recently. In a biog (Break on Through: the Life and Death of Jim Morrison) Pamela Des Barres recounts doing "Trimar" with Jim, and describes it as "like liquid PCP." As this is new territioy to me and subject, we did research at erowid and wiki. Wiki described it as a "2nd gen" anesthetic and solvent that was ultimately pulled from human use due to bieng hard on the liver and a possible carcinogen. It describes the effects as more like alcohol or other CNS depressants. Erowid basically didn't touch on directly, but had testimonials on its use.
Since SWIM probably won't do this, the next best would be anyone with knowledge (imagine more mature D-F members, as its heyday seems to have been a while ago). Specifically:
1. Because it had medical uses, would risks be more like nitrous vs. huffing gasoline?
2. Is it a dissociative in any way?
3. How do the carcinogenic and liver issues compare to those of, say, alcohol?
4. Is this even legal (for use other than internal)? Available?
5. Any trip reports?
SWIM's current default is not to try, and will be so unless convinced otherwise.
Mods feel free to move as neccesary, because I didn't find ANY relavant sub-forum for this.
