Question reduction in sensation/sensitivity in hands?

A friend of mine has endulged in ALOT of drugs in the last 3 months, including ounces of weed, 1.5g coke, 100+ Es and most recently over a gram of Ketamine (favorite ), and has noticed that his hands (and everwhere else infact) seem less sensitive than before..
he finds himself returning from the bathroom forgetting to dry his hands after washing them because he cannot feel that they are wet? (unless there is a large drip trickling along his skin..)
is this a possible side affect of all the.. ill repute?

is it normal for people to be able to tell when their hands are wet? (cold water) as he cant really remember much of.. pre-medicated life.

Thanks
