A few helpful reminders and guidelines for those about to post ( and please don't forget to also read the rules if you haven't already : they are here...

[top]Threads on cutting cocaine

A large amounts of threads are regularly opened in the cocaine section of the forum, focusing on the various qualities of cutting agents, and cutting techniques.

While trying to remove a "cut", an adulterant from a substance is fine, let’s make it clear that neither swiyou nor your favorite uncle’s pet bunny will get any information here on procedures related to “cutting” a substance with another.
WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THREADS RELATED TO FACILITATION OF COCAINE CUTTING, TECHNIQUES AND CUTTING AGENTS. Period.

“Cutting” refers to adding a “cutting” agent or “cut” to the substance, in order to increase its weight (or decrease its potency, but this is not the case for cocaine products).
A “cut” is an adulterate, which both increases the dealer’s profit margin and renders a substance less safe than it already is, and can in some case have dreadful side effects. “Cutting” is a criminal practice which is always motivated by greed / profit issues and absolutely unethical, and NOT ACCEPTABLE in this forum.

Which is why all threads started on the subject of cuts, asking for advice on how to cut, and this includes recooking, repressing etc, with what substances, such threads will be CLOSED and / or DELETED and the poster given a WARNING, as this is a serious infraction of both forum rules, and general ethics and motivations.

Thought this is more debatable, this rule also applies questions on REROCKING / REPRESSING cocaine, as this is most often used as a selling trick.

The only threads related to the subject of cuts and adulterants accepted are those dealing with CUT REMOVAL, or product purification.

Purification, ie the removal of adulterants / cuts his is pretty much one of the best harm reduction techniques available when it comes to cocaine products. Discussions of the various qualities of cuts are not helpful from a harm reduction point of view, since no user really knows what black market products are really cut with to begin with, unless they are thoroughly analysed.

And remember that greed / profit motivated choices such as cutting products, leaving potential users to deal with adulterated, unsafe, black-market products of unknown quality or concentration, are often behind some of the worse consequences of substance use in the current circumstances.

Another ongoing problem is that of people incriminating themselves regarding the illegal use and/or manufacture of controlled substances - Being hot and wired and typing at warp speed is no excuse for taking off the gloves, if not for your own sake than at least for this forum’s.
To quote what another supermod has already written on the subject : PLEASE make certain that your posts, including previous posts you have made, do not incriminate YOU or ANYONE else in the commision of a crime. Edit any posts you have made that could wind you up in court/jail. Use the EDIT function at the bottom of said post.

Several sites with similar content have recently been disabled - or worse - by law enforcement. So don't give them any fuel to burn us as witches during their hunt. Use that Oldie but Goldie: COMMON SENSE. If you have no fear of being arrested for what you did in High School 20 years ago - good! But if you did something questionable last week - don't say so!

The self-incriminationg posts you might still find in threads are left overs from days when this rule was not striclty enforced. They will either be corrected or deleted.

Newbies are expected to be EXTRA careful, as they cannot edit their posts. Meaning a mod has to do it. Or deleted the post-- if the post if considered valuable, the newbie poster will be sent the post and asked to edit it and then repost it in the original thread. This takes up a lot of time for mods, please try to avoid this kind of situation.

So please do NOT incriminate yourself. Use SWIM (Someone Who Isn't ME) or something similar when discussing extra-curricular activities. Please bear in mind that not abiding by the rules can and WILL get SWIY banned.

[top]Two types of threads most likely to be closed

1. what was the cut in this cocaine swim used / was this cocaine swim bought ?

Two main reasons behind this, first of all what is written above.
And most of all : NO ONE CAN TELL, no one will ever know unless a sample is properly analysed. People here can only guess, and guesswork threads go nowhere constructive. Reactions to cocaine vary, due to one's history, metabolism, interactions, allergies... again, there is no way to tell, just by descriptions of effects or physical qualities.
Exceptions might be made if there is a particular identified danger, such as a known adulterant with potentially dangerous consequences which has been identified and reported. This is rare. In most case the thread will be closed.
Drug-forum is not a pill identification site, nor is it a place for cutting agent identification.

2. swim had x and x reaction to cocaine, what is wrong with swim or swim's cocaine ?

Again, reactions vary. NO ONE CAN TELL, apart from a properly trained physician, doctor, someone who can physically examine the patient, and has access to the patient's physical record. If it's a serious issue, GO SEE A DOCTOR. if it's not that serious, read up, many many questions have been asked in the forum, browse it using the thread prefix "health" and the search engine. Might help, with some good hints on how to reduce basic strain, might not, but do keep in mind that the internet and this forum are really not places to get proper medical advice on specific conditions. In most cases, such threads will be closed, again, we're trying to avoid guesswork threads as they go nowhere constructive.

[top]Avoid one liners and back to back posting

also avoid one liner answers to a thread's post--aim for constructive content, and don't post back to back. this is already in the rules, but it seems a lot of overexcited posters tend to forget this rule more often in the cocaine forum than elsewhere...
same thing applies for compulsive back to back posting- if you really can't help forgetting important things that really shoud be in your post, and don't have access to an "edit" button yet, please write your post in a text editor, hold on to it a few minutes, and only post it when you're sure it's complete...

[top]Avoid slang and give accurate titles to your posts

Slang maybe cool, but when written it can really become a nuisance more than anything else. Please *do not* use slang in thread titles and try to be as descriptive, concise and accurate as possible in choosing thread titles. Why ?
For clarity, archiving and searching reasons.

Firstly this forum is international, and people might not know the local slang you're using.
Secondly it makes things unclear and info harder to find, expecially with examples like "coca" or "cola"...using "coca" is particularly frowned upon as DF has a specially dedicated coca forum, and this is just confusing - not to mention slightly unpolitically correct in a time when quite a few people are trying to highlight the differences between coca and cocaine, in a drug law reform perspective...

Always keep in mind that slang use just makes searching for information more difficult, so please try to refrain from refering to cocaine as the snowy nostril eidelweiss from the Andes, and stick to well know slang words such as "coke" if you *really* can't write "cocaine", but please use precise words in thread titles, no slang.

Lastly, on a more subjective side note, the whole street culture related to drugs is fine and great, but also directly linked to the current legal situation. Not knowing or being able to use precise words when refering to substance use also does have a somewhat obscurantist feel, information, knowledge and precision are key elements in trying to change prohibitionist views. In a way, by using using precise words, one is sharing knowledge, and taking a stand against misinformation.

[top]Thread prefixes

Are there to be used. They're a very valuable addition to the forum search engine. ALL the threads in the cocaine and crack forum since 2005 have been manually indexed this way, regrouped under main topic groups.
To use them, go to the display options in the lower left corner, and check out the pull down menu. You will see a list of words. Select one which is the most related to your question.
What these do is that they reduce the number of threads to a couple of pages ( instead of 40 or so). 2 pages is a manageable amount to scroll, and look for a thread related to one's question. Chance are it's already been asked, discussed, detailed and possibily answered. If this is the case, post in the existing thread instead of creating a new one. Please.
All the thread prefixes were added by hand, which means they follow a certain logic, the classification works really well, and you are deeply encouraged to use it.
When posting, please add a thread prefix to your post. If it's a little off it will be changed, don't worry, just try to find the one closest to your question's thematics.

[top]Responsibility when posting

Please try to avoid giving potentially unsafe advice.
Cocaine products, as other substances, can lead to potentially lethal health issues, such as overdoses. When posting, keep in mind that product qualities vary around the world, so do cutting agents, user’s physical constitutions, substance tolerance and experience. So be responsible, and weigh out your words carefully, especially when it comes to dosage issues : the quantity swiyou might have snorted yesterday on a good night could potentially kill someone elsewhere.

Also try to avoid posts focused on stupid / criminal or potentially dangerous behaviour…. no playing William Tell with a loaded shotgun while drunk and coked up isn’t the kind of good-times trip report encouraged or appreciated here…

And lastly, serious medical issues reported, such as physical or mental emergencies, should in the vast majority of cases be oriented towards qualified (medical) assistance. This is often the best help one can give online. Better a lesson in morals in E.R. than a heart failure in someone’s living room…

So please be responsible and constructive in your posts, check the rules when in doubt, and try to stay on the safe(r) side. Oh, and have fun.
