Here's how to have a life-changing trip

Hi all, long time no see, good to be back )

Here's a sort of protocol which sums up how to have a psychedelic trip that will make a real difference in your life from that point on. It's not about the trip itself. It's the preparation that counts, and it's the everyday experience following the trip that is significant.

The emphasis is on making a leap in social skills. Following this protocol you can find yourself relating much better to people. I assure you this will add a lot of joy to your life! You might find yourself behaving as if you have much more confidence than you think you have, chatting people up and so on. It's not that you're more confident, it's just that you figure people out much better. Note that to facilitate this, in the trip itself you'd want to spend at least part of the time around people.

In a trip the subconscious is sort of cut off from the game, and thus neurotic behavior disappears. When traumas are released from the subconscious during the "rebirthing" breathing routine described here, the substrate for neurotic behavior is diminished. A psychedelic experience can then capitalize on this and weed out the neurotic behavioral patterns. All behavioral patterns are neurotic ones! Freedom from neurosis is Here-and-Now, acting from moment to moment, without any patterns.

I'll repeat in simple words: by doing the breathing excercise below you become less fucked up. What tripping afterwards does is basically reset your psyche to accomodate the outside world. You are less stressed out, less busy looking in, so you can relate to the world better.

A trauma is something that has a psychological part, and a physiological part. When a trauma settles, part of the body "freezes" - we are talking about an actual change in nerves and in surrounding tissue. A shaking up of the soft tissue system is required, not so much to the muscles but more to the surrounding connective tissue. The quickest modality to do that is Thai massage. You'd want less of the pulling-stretching-jerking parts of this massage, and just stick with the basic gentle squeezing and working of the flesh - tell this to the therapist!

Next comes the "rebirthing" breathing. To accelerate the release of the traumas in the breathing you can take any substance that focuses the subconscious so it doesn't let go of freeing a trauma before it's done. Ritalin will probably do the work. I have experience of doing this with Bacopa, a herb used in Ayurveda (traditional Indian medicine) that's supposed to be weaker than Ritalin and takes about an hour to take effect. You can get Bacopa on Amazon, any dosage from 225mg to 350mg is good. Doing Thai massage first, then taking Bacopa while you breathe, you can release around 10 big traumas in a single breathing session. Without Bacopa and massage you generally release either 1 big trauma or none at all.

Rebirthing breathing is sometimes considered hardcore. The way it is described here it's not, it's greatly mellowed down. IN ADDITION, because you have taken either Bacopa or Ritalin, you are focused and productive. This plays an important role in making the breathing easier.

Do not eat 3 hours before doing rebirthing.

Lie down on your back with your arms and legs spread out. Do it in a quiet room where you will not be disturbed. A knock on the door will ruin the session - make sure you have 1 hour of privacy. Silence your mobile phone.

Close your eyes, and breathe through your mouth only. Start breathing continuously, which means without stopping after the inhale and after the exhale, just inhale-exhale-inhale-exhale and so on.

Do not stop breathing throughout the session.

For the first 10 minutes or so, you can breathe quite slowly, as long as the breaths are reasonably deep.

You will start feeling the fingers in your hands freeze in some strange position. It might ache just a little bit. Ignore it - don't try to move the fingers. All it means is that the trauma release process is starting.

Your throat might get dry, this might be uncomfortable. Ignore it, you'll get used to that. If you must, swallow and get back to continuous breathing right away.

After 10-15 minutes you can make the breath just a little bit faster. Since you've started slow this means you're still not breathing fast. Don't breath fast. This process can be reasonably easy, so don't complicate it. You can also breath somewhat deeper - but make sure any one single intake of air is not something that is straining, though the process as a whole is a little challenging.

In the last 10 minutes of the session you will find it is easy to breath even more deeply, so you may do so. But don't breathe faster.

Memories might surface, or they might not. Don't have expectations about this as it is a treatment to the subconscious, not to you.

You might go into a sort of daydream state, in which case you will eventually come out and realize that you've stopped the continuous breathing. Start breathing continuously immediately. Being in a daydream is good, it means there was some time when the subconscious took over completely. Productive trauma release work is done at such times. An hour in which you go in and out of daydream state 4-7 times is a very typical rebirthing experience.

You can have a sitter if you like, but they should be absolutely quiet.

You can end the session with an alarm clock, or when you feel like it, which will generally be after 45-74 minutes.

You might feel euphoric for a day or two.

To conclude, my recommended trip preparation process is as follows:

1. Get a thai massage, the sort that leaves you feeling like you've been through a laundry machine.

2. Get Bacopa online.

3. Do rebirthing while under the influence of Bacopa.

Enjoy!
