Downers which do not cause respiratory depression.
Basically everyone known that downers shouldn't be mixed one with another. This happens mainly because of respiratory depression. Benzodiazepines, barbiturates, opiates, atropine and other tropanes (except cocaine), ethanol, GHB and cousins, and many other drugs with sedative effects have depressant action on respiration.
What I want to know is which sedatives do NOT cause respiratory depression. Cannabis is an example of a drug with sedative properties which doesn't cause respiratory depression. I've also heard of hops and kava kava as downers which don't cause respiratory depression. Anything else? |
