Poem on the Concept of Time
((the first part is something SWIM wrote about SWIM's drive home today. basically, the streets to the house aren't really that long... but it felt like FOREVEr. and it was beautiful. let me know what you think!))
"why hello, subconcious
so i was driving home today
and the roads seemed to stretch on forever
passing through light and distance
beyond everything,
i wanted to get to the horizon, you know,
but the street just kept on going and it wasn't going to end
lights passed by like UFO's
actually more like fireflies or sun shining through waterfalls
maybe what i'm trying to say in the above poem is that distance transcends everything-- the reality of distance might not be what we believe; it's just a matter of what point of view we're at and the rate at which we process the concept of time. because we comprehend distances at a certain rate. because time isn't really out there in reality, time's a device in our brains through which we process stimuli at speeds we can comprehend"
