pot in the news
Well, the latest headlines clearly show that, once again, the evil gateway drug rears it's ugly head! After culling MSNBC, the headlines are:
1. 88 plants were found in Raleigh, NC in a locked and fenced area owned by Transflo ( A CSX rail shipper). Combined worth $220,000 or $2500 per plant.
2.Richland, Wash. 450 plants, some 10 ft high worth 500.000
3. Charlotte, VT. 75 plants worth 80,000
4. Santa Rosa, CA. 18 raids net 30,000 plants worth 51 million dollars
5. Burlington VT. Police are asking for the publics help in locating and arresting growers.
6. Las Vegas, NV. Pierre Werner, a medical marijuana advocate, has a trial which resumes Thursday. Police charge him with drug trafficking. for possession of 100 plants and 10 pounds of finished product. He says it's for his bi-polar disorder and has a prescription. State law allows possession of 1 ounce or less with valid prescription.
7. Pomeroy, Ohio. Police are gearing up for the harvesting season, saying that the county is known for growing high quality pot worth 3000-4000 per pound.
8. San Diego, CA DEA seized 19000 plants in a recent raid, some over 6 feet tall.
9. El Dorado Hills, CA. Police seized 1900 plants worth 8.5 million. They were spread out between million dollar houses and police say that the Mexican Mafia are the growers after they found a cache of beans and totillas nearby. Police say "neighbors were stunned!" and "obviously they had weapons here, this can of oil is all shot up!"
Once again, this proves that our kind and loving government is doing it's duty and keeping us safe from the evils of drugs!
My questions are these: Where do the get these prices? SWIM had a dream just a week or so ago and in that dream, a pound of weed went for under 400.00! Also, if this is what they are telling us was seized, what do you think they kept for themselves?
Long ago and in a land far away, SWIM dreamed about growing, but never dreamed about results like what was related here, at least as far as the economic results, anyway. Although SWIM had dreams about 15-18 ft tall plants, it was a 3 year project involving cross-breeding two different strains obtained from the Seed Bank in a country that is known for its tolerence for the herb.
